Promptography vs. HeadshotPro

Two one-time products. Different fine print.

HeadshotPro is one of the biggest names in AI headshots, and — like us — it charges once instead of renting you a subscription. The differences live in the fine print: what higher tiers buy, what voids the refund, and what happens to your photos. Every claim below is cited to HeadshotPro’s own public pages and was recorded on August 30, 2026; if those pages change, this comparison is out of date, not evidence. The record

Side by side, with sources.

Comparison recorded August 30, 2026. HeadshotPro facts come from its public pricing page, homepage, and refund policy, linked in the footnotes.
DimensionPromptographyHeadshotPro
Pricing modelFour one-time tiers from $9.99 to $99.99 — 1 to 16 looks, 3 selects per look. No subscription, nothing renews.One-time packs: Basic $29 (30 headshots), Professional $39 (50), Executive $59 (70). “Pay once, no subscription”[1].
Same quality at every price?Yes. Every tier runs our best model and the same 85% Quality Gate — bigger tiers only buy more looks. Likeness is never a paywall. No — higher tiers advertise “premium resolution, higher realism”, and 4K resolution is an Executive-tier feature[1].
Refund conditionsFull refund even after download — no questions. 7-day window, 100%. Downloading your photos does not void it.The homepage says “100% money-back guarantee, no expiry” and “No deadline”[2]. The refund page’s eligibility checklist requires that you “haven’t downloaded any photos” and that “it’s been less than 14 days since you paid”[3]. Most self-serve refunds are processed within 1 business day[3].
DeliveryDelivered only after every frame clears the 85% Quality Gate against your own references; below-threshold frames are regenerated at our cost, with published receipts.About 2 hours (Basic), 30 minutes (Professional), or 15 minutes (Executive) by tier[1]. Professional includes 1 free redo within 14 days[1].
Data handlingNever trained on beyond your own shoot. References are scheduled for deletion 7 days after the remedy window closes, the gallery after 30 days; delete-now with verified-absent receipts. Checkout is processed by PayPal — card numbers never touch our servers.“No AI training — your photos are never used to train AI models”; input photos deleted 30 days after generation[1]. AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit, SOC 2 Type II, DPA available[2] [1].
TeamsOne link per person — same Quality Gate, same receipts, per-person consent. No team pricing exists yet, and we don’t invent pricing that doesn’t exist; teams coordinate by email.Team credits with no seat licenses; “credits never expire”; volume discounts from 20% at 5 credits up to 50% at 1,000+[1].
ReputationPre-launch: no customer reviews, ratings, or counts are shown anywhere until they are real and verifiable. Published fidelity receipts stand in instead.Displays “4.7 · 3,539 reviews” (Trustpilot) on its own pricing page[1] and claims “96.7% customer satisfaction” on its homepage[2]. Trustpilot itself could not be read directly at recording time (its robots policy blocks automated access), so these figures are as HeadshotPro displays them.

What we do not claim

Kept honest by design.

HeadshotPro is an established product with a large customer base, enterprise features we do not offer today — SOC 2 Type II reporting, DPAs, team credit pools — and a published no-training policy of its own. This page does not dispute its capabilities. It records, from the linked sources on the recorded date, how the two products price quality, condition their refunds, and handle data. Where HeadshotPro’s own pages differ — the homepage’s “no expiry” guarantee versus the refund page’s no-download, 14-day checklist — we quote both rather than pick the version that flatters us. We publish no invented benchmarks and no customer reviews of our own; when we have verifiable customer evidence, it will be linked the same way these sources are.
